A Letter to My Customers i.e. Covid Concerns
To My Wonderful Customers,
First, I must say how much I love being a shopkeeper and how much I value all of you, my customers. Whether you met me during my ten years in Sarasota, online, or at my new brick and mortar shop in downtown Langley you are treasured. Without customers I wouldn’t have a reason to buy new fabric!
The reality of 2020 is that as much as I love my store, I love my family more. I have searched my soul for the right thing to do and I think closing until the COVID cases are under control is the right choice.
My website, thebluepeony.com, will still be up and running (with more great gifts and practical necessities than ever) and I will still offer shipping, local pick-up and personal shopping hours. I will still be picking up the phone to help with all your questions and responding to every email. I live in Langley and have absolutely loved having my shop open these past few months, I am not giving up on that. I am just going to buckle down a bit more for the health and safety of my customers and my family.
While my doors are closed there will still be a buzz of activity, I have some gorgeous boiled wool and cashmere that I haven’t been able to cut into yet. I plan on stoking my creative fires and coming back with more handmade goodness, new products and of course some of the wool just in time for the coldest bit of winter.
It also means I will be able make the most of this holiday season for my family and specifically my son, Cooper. At 7 we have only a few more of the magical years left and I want to make the most of it. That means we will be baking cookies, singing carols and shopping local for our gifts. It’s the holidays and what better time to get back to the things that really matter, family and community.
We are apart now so that we can all be together later. In the mean time, stay safe, stay home, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
All the best, Jennifer Robinson
