Park Gates by Liberty Fabrics (London Parks A)

This elegant floral trail was based on a hand embroidered fabric length discovered within the Liberty archive, carefully translated into a contemporary print by tracing each intricate design detail with fine-liner pen. Its sinuous layout of decorated flowers, ornamental leaves and scrolling stems emulate the beautiful wrought ironwork often found on various garden gates around London.

From woodlands and wetlands to parks, heaths and gardens, there is a sense of enduring wildness and wonder to be discovered in London’s green spaces. Honouring the capital’s abundance and variety of natural beauty spots, the Liberty Fabrics designers drew inspiration from all over the city to create the London Parks quilting collection – a captivating day trip through the most timeless park activities including flying kites, enjoying an al fresco picnic, and making new canine friends. 

Liberty Fabrics are traditionally screen printed onto soft Lasenby cotton. This base is suited for craft projects, apparel, and classic patchwork quilting. The possibilities are as endless as your imagination.
